Obituary for Charles L. Karr

Charles L. Karr, 94, of Willard and former Attica resident, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018, at The Willows at Willard.

He was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Attica, to Lonzo and Ruth (Felty) Karr. He married June L. Teach Jan. 26, 1946, in Attica, and she preceded him in death June 29, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis "Butch" (Paula) Karr of Attica and James "Fish" (Karen) Karr of Oak Harbor; five grandchildren, Kendra (Jess) Nelson, Eric (Allison) Karr, Scott (Sarah) Karr, Megan (Daniel) Magoon and Melisa (Noah) Neiderhouse; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jaret, Kade, Isaac and Clara Nelson, Zachery, Broderick, Angelina, Rylan Ronan Karr, Daniel Conrad, and Winston Magoon, and Karmela and Gabriela Neiderhouse.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Karr;, a sister, Juanita Neider; a brother, Richard Karr and a great-grandson, Gregory Michael Magoon.

Bud was a member of First Baptist Church of Attica, 1943 graduate of Attica High School, World War II Navy Sea-bee veteran, member of Attica American Legion Post No. 260 Attica, He was motor vehicle inspector for Ohio State Patrol District No.11 in Bucyrus, for 18 and a half years retiring in 1987.

Private family services will be conducted Monday, December 31, 2018, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville., with the Rev. Bob Adelspeger officiating. Burial will follow in Attica-Venice Cemetery, Attica.

Military graveside services will be conducted by Attica American Legion Post No. 260.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or the new Veteran Park in Attica in care of Sutton Bank in Attica.
