Obituary for Patricia A. Clark

Patricia A. Clark, 85, of Attica, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Patricia was born November 30, 1933, in Attica, to the late Halcyon and Laura (Smith) Detterman. She married Ross E. Clark on February 20, 1953 in Bloomville, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Survivors include her Children, Mark (Debra) Clark of Bloomville, Roger (Susan) Clark of Bloomville, Nancy (Don) Smith of Tiffin, and Denise (Jim) Hoover of North Olmsted, Ohio, 10 grandchildren Tim (Kellee) Hoover, Rachael (Joe) Potter, Sarah (William) Stanley, Benjamin (Katie) Waltman, Garret (Paige Andrews) Clark, Mandy Smith, David (Susan) Smith, Lindy Smith, and Jacob and Jared Clark, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, Charles Detterman of Tiffin, Gerald (Donna) Detterman of Attica, Kenneth (Evalina) Detterman of Bloomville, and a brother-in law, Kevin Rothaar of Broken Sword, and a sister-in law Mabel Detterman of Bucyrus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Detterman, and two sisters, Zelma Rothaar, and Bernice Price.

Patricia was homemaker, a farmer and a former bus driver, for the Seneca East Schools. She was a 1952 graduate of Bloomville High School and, a member of the Attica United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, and was a self- taught musician, and also being with her grandchildren, and especially her one day trips to Amish country with her brothers and sister-in laws.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Attica United Methodist Church, 98 Mill Street Attica, with Rev. Ron Spyker officiating, burial will follow at Attica-Venice Cemetery in Attica.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, November 22, 2019, from 5-8:00 p.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca East Public Library, the Seneca County 4-H Foundation, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
