David L. Molyett, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
David was born September 3, 1937, in Tiffin, to the late Albert and Katherine (Jacobs) Molyett. He married Ruth Ann Smith on May 25, 1957 but later divorced.
Survivors include a brother, Larry (Bobbie) Molyett of Tiffin, four children, Robert Allen (Linda) Molyett of Attica, Katherine (Jerry) Martin of Logansport, IN, Patricia Woods of Tiffin, and Sandra Lee (Tim) Zender of Sycamore, five grandsons, nineteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Molly graduated from Calvert High School in 1955 and worked several jobs including driving a semi truck during his time in Ohio. Molly moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1969 and started his own business servicing heavy equipment at their jobsites. He traveled all over the peninsula of Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater. He knew every highway, street and alley and used no GPS.
Molly joined the Shriners in 1980 and enjoyed all their activities. He and his last wife, Maddy enjoyed a great life with many friends at the American Legion, Moose, VFW and Elks and any other establishment that served good food and good drinks.
David was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Betty and Maddie Molyett, and a grandson, Jeremy Musgrave.
Funeral services for David will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
