Dolores Eileen (Lautzenhiser) Wilson

Dolores Eileen (Lautzenhiser) Wilson, 95, of Tiffin, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 as the result of a stroke. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Dolores was born on October 10, 1925, in Tiffin, to the late Rudolph and Ruth (Balliet) Lautzenhiser. She married William L. Wilson on March 21, 1944 and he preceded her in death on August 26, 1996. They were married for 52 years.

Dolores is survived by four children, Bonnie Daniel of Tiffin, Timothy (Char) Wilson of Republic, Kay (Benny) Stockmaster of Tiffin, and Ruth (Paul) Jones of Republic; ten grandchildren, Mark Daniel, Troy Stockmaster, Greg Daniel, Yvonne Kerlin, Missy Smith, Matthew Stockmaster, David Jones, Brigette Hawkins, Brent Stockmaster, and Max Wilson; eleven great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, three step-great-great-grandchildren. Upon the birth of her first grandchild, there were five surviving generations on both sides of her family. Dolores was part of another era of five generations when her great-great-grandchildren were born.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant brother, Normand.

Dolores was a member of First Christian Church in Tiffin. For the majority of her life she was a homemaker, but she did work as the Candy Counter Girl at F.W. Woolworths. Dolores served on the Fairmont Cemetery Board for 40 years, was a member of TOPS #1016 for 35 years, and a Balliet descendent of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed flower gardening, painting ceramics, and sewing. Her favorite color was purple and she adored her black cat, Suzie.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday June 10, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 N. Washington, St., Tiffin, OH 44883. Funeral services for Dolores will begin at 12:30 p.m, at the funeral home, with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow services at Fairmont Cemetery.
