Joanne Yvonne Dunbar

Joanne Yvonne Dunbar, 89, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the St. Francis Nursing Home.

Joanne was born in New London, Ohio on August 8, 1931, to the late Alfred E. and Cora E. (Bowman) Fitch. She married Sherman Dunbar in Fostoria and he preceded her in death in 1982.

Joanne is survived by a daughter, Karen P. Owens of (Fostoria), and a son, Christopher Michael Payne of (Tiffin), four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Padgett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Kathy James of  Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Floyd Fitch.

Joanne graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1949. She worked for J.C. Penny’s and retired from there after 29 years. She was also a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and doing word searches.

There will be no funeral services for Joann at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
