Lourdes L. Booc

Lourdes L. Booc, 81, of Tiffin, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Randall Residence of Tiffin following a long illness.

Lourdes was born on September 13, 1939 in Cebu City, Philippines to the late Candelario and Consuelo (Llamas) Booc.

Survivors include her sister, Julita L. Booc, a brother, Roger L. (Racquel R.) Booc, two nieces Rochelle R. (Shawn Henry) Booc, Rubi L. (Jon Peterson) Booc, grandnieces and grandnephews, Leah and Sam Henry, Elijah, Jonah, Izzy and Eden Peterson.

Lourdes graduated from St. Theresa's College and the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Philippines. She was a  Kindergarten Teacher in Colegio Del Sto Nino in Cebu City, Philippines and in Colegio San Agustin, Dasmarinas Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Lourdes immigrated to the United States of America in 1983 and lived in Tiffin. She worked at W.S.O.S. in Fremont in 1985 until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and meeting with her W.S.O.S. friends once a month at different restaurants in Fremont and Tiffin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes before the service at the church. There will be a private family visitation held for the family at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the Mass at the St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
