Mark D. Hagen DVM, 59, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Mark was born in Manhattan, Kansas on June 24, 1961, to Scott D. and Amelia J. (Hartman) Hagen.
Mark is survived by his mother, Amelia Hagen of Wooster, two daughters, Taylor Hagen of Cleveland, Savannah Hagen of Tiffin a niece Kailee Hagen of Ann Arbor, MI, a brother, Steve Hagen of Massillon, a sister, Martha (Gary) McGuire of Richfield and his best four-legged friend, "Eddie". He also leaves behind Dr. Katie Daniel, Andrea Kneeskern and the rest of his dedicated staff at his veterinary practice.
Mark was the owner/operator of the Animal Care Center in Tiffin. Mark knew from an early age that Veterinary Medicine was his career path, thus achieving his father's dream. Mark graduated from Waynedale High School, attended Wayne College of the University of Akron and holds multiple degrees from The Ohio State University, including his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Mark was a friend to everyone, humans and animals alike. He lit up a room with a smile and usually a funny joke. His knowledge of veterinary medicine was invaluable. His success as a practicing veterinarian and his relationship with pets and their owners reflected his kind and generous personality.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Scott D. Hagen.
There will be no funeral services held for Mark at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society where he was a former board member.
