Marshall D. “Butch” Bollenbacher III, 76, of Republic, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at Regency Hospital in Sylvania, after a brief illness.
He was born July 12, 1944, in Bellevue, to the late Marshall and Mollie M. (Bilger) Bollenbacher Jr. He married Judy R. Neikirk on July 27, 1963, at Republic United Church of Christ, and she survives in Republic.
Other survivors include his six children, Tracey Hackenburg of Tiffin, Mark (Tracy) Bollenbacher of Lake Tapps, Washington, Karen (Joe) Peck of Republic, Todd (Holly) Bollenbacher of Bellevue, Tim Bollenbacher of Bellevue and Robert Bollenbacher of Orting, Washington, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, two brothers, Richard (Linda) Bollenbacher and Ned (Kitty) Bollenbacher both of Bellevue, two sisters, Mary Ann (Gene) Martin of Tiffin and Rose (Ron) Greene of Bellevue.
Butch was a truck driver and was employed by South Shore Trucking in Sandusky for many years before retiring. He attended Thompson High School and was a member of the Bellevue Eagles. He also enjoyed gardening, his many home projects and just being outdoors feeding his wild birds and his special rabbit.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2021, at Block Cemetery on CR. #21 Republic, with the Rev. Darla Metz officiating. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
