Mary "Jean" Overmier

Mary "Jean" Overmier, 70, of Tiffin, passed away at 7:29 a.m., Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital.

Jean was born April 2, 1952, in Tiffin, to the late John William and Norma Jean (Ball) Tewalt.

Survivors include her two sons, Craig Overmier of Tiffin and Chad (Rita) Overmier of Tiffin and a sister, Karen Kennedy of Tiffin.

Jean worked as the admission Coordinator for 35 years at St. Francis Home in Tiffin and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin. She was a 1970 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and a member of the Kiwanis Club in Tiffin.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Amber Overmier and a sister, Judith Dykes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to the Mass. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Friday, from 1-2 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
