Mary Ann Stover, 90, of Tiffin, passed away at 3:05 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Willows of Tiffin.
Mary was born on August 15, 1930 in Alvada, to the late Victor William and Lucy (Fraley) Kauffman. She married Fred Stover and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1996.
Survivors include her children, Paula (Gene) Hunker of Old Fort, Jeff (Nancy) Stover of Tiffin, Jane (Dave) Hoke of Tiffin, six grandchildren, Ian Hunker, Lucy Spencer, Tyler Stover, Kacie Bartimus, Matt Hoke and Marcus Hoke, five great-granddaughters, Madisyn, Baylee, Lilliana, Harper and Emilia.
Mary worked as the Old Fort Elementary School Secretary for 23 years. She was a 50 year member of the Old Fort Flames and enjoyed playing cards, shopping and going to the Casinos. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-granddaughter, Maycee Walker, six brothers, Francis, Paul "Bud", Carl, Joseph, Eugene and Donald Kauffman, six sisters, Rosemary Clouse, Esther Kauffman, Clara Kramer, Ruth Durdel, Rita Hoover and Helen Topel.
A Celebration of Mary's life will be held from 3-6 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Carmie's BBQ & Grill in Tiffin. There will be a private family burial held at Pleasant Union cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, Old Fort Elementary Library or to the P.M. Gillmor Community Park.
