Survivors include her children, Carol (Loren) Peters of Cedar Grove, NC, Chuck (Jeannie) Weber of Tiffin, Tim (Barbara) Weber of Burgoon, Theresa (Frank) Kimmet of Tiffin, Terri (Bret) Metcalfe of Claremore, OK, nine grandchildren, Benjamin, David, Japheth, Naomi, Mickey, Mykel, Rob, Daron and Erica, twenty-two great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Jean also had many nieces and nephews, with special nieces and nephew of Bucyrus.

Jean retired from Sears Roebuck in 1990 and was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church in Bettsville. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was also a former member of the Bettsville EMS.
