Sandy Griffin died March 22, 2023 at the Willows in Tiffin. She was born on July 1939 to James and Mary (Slemmer) Williams in Tiffin. She attended several schools in California and Florida, as her father was in the service. She graduated from high school in Upper Sandusky.
Sandy attended Tiffin University where she met her husband, Wayne. They were married on November 6, 1960. They had three daughters, Lisa (Mike McClellan), Gayla Griffin - deceased and Rachelle Griffin all of Tiffin. Sandy had five grandchildren, Erin Conti of Tiffin, McKenna Gaietto of California, Keegan (Aly) Hall of North Canton, Claire McClellan of Tiffin and Abrie Smith of Willoughby. She also had three great-grandchildren, Griffin and Bishop Kisabeth of Tiffin and Roman Hall of North Canton.
Sandy worked as a sales person for Sara Coventry Jewelry for 13 years, rising to the level of Regional Manager. She traveled and spoke at company meeting in such places as Las Vegas and San Diego. She later left the company to spend more time with her family. Sandy returned to sales where she worked with her husband and later retired from Wayne Griffin Reality. She was known for her love of dogs, antiques, art, jewelry and travel with her husband.
The family wants to thank the entire staff at the Willows for their very kind care of Sandy during her two year stay at their facility.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4-6 p.m., at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be a private family graveside service held at Greenlawn cemetery with Pastor A.J. Lewis officiating.
