Shirley Ann Thacker

Shirley Ann Thacker, 79, of Tiffin, passed away at 12:55 a.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Shirley was born September 9, 1942, in Tiffin, to the late Frank Pierce and Edna Mae (Karcher) Turner. She married Verlin Thacker in Tiffin on August 6, 1960 and he survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Thacker, Sheri Myers, Verlin Thacker, Chad Thacker, Amy Banks and Josh Thacker all of Tiffin, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dennis Turner of Tiffin and Robert Turner of Stockton, CA.

Shirley worked at Tiffin Mercy Hospital for twenty years.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Fred, Ed and Richard Swartz and a sister, Betty Swartz.

Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Verlin Michael Thacker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Wednesday at Fairmont cemetery.
