William “Bill” P. Martin, 104, of Attica, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the Willows in Willard.
Bill was born June 15, 1916, in Attica, to the late Peter A. and Anna (Roellinger) Martin. He married Irene A. (Keller) in Attica on September 28, 1943 and she preceded him in death on January 26, 1993.
Survivors include his children, Robert Martin of Attica, Gregory (Rhonda) Martin of Attica, Ardis (Donald) Medley of Columbus, Marjorie (Stephen) Bogner of Republic, ten grandchildren, Patricia (David) Baer of Naples, FL, Cheryl (Mark) Johnson of Columbus, Bryan (Jill) Medley of Lewis Center, Eric (Tammy) Medley of Hilliard, Peter Martin of Stow, Leslie Stone of Columbus, Annette (Christopher) McGarey of Gahanna, Courtney (Jason) Davis of Stow, Ashley Martin-Depinet of Attica, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene, a grandson, Mark S. Martin and a brother, Glenn Martin.
Bill was a lifelong farmer and a former Seneca East School Bus Driver for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica and was very active with the Attica Jr. Fair.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 10, 2020, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with Rev. Nathan Bockrath officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., at the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Attica.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Jr. Fair, Stein Hospice or to the donor’s choice.
